Information on Russia dossier exposed within Trump tweets, lawsuit argues

(MENAFN) Based on a report by Politico, a case presented to a federal judge was heard on Friday, arguing about tweets of President Trump and the possibility of them forcing the government to unveil further details on its attempts to confirm information enclosed in a controversial opposition research dossier.

Politico reporter Josh Gerstein has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit in union with the James Madison Project, an anti-secrecy group, which resulted in the arguments being brought up.

As Politico reported, the arguments' focal point has been the possibility of President Trump's statements in Twitter being a way to push the government into providing information relating its attempts to confirm the dossier.
