Population of Abu Dhabi to hit three million soon


(MENAFN) Emirate's live births has increased 317.2 percent from what it used to be in 1977, with a total population of 2.9 million by the end of 2016, which is a growth of 4.4 percent compared to the end of the 2015 official survey, according to the newly-published figures from the Statistics Center-Abu Dhabi.

According to WAM, 52 percent are males and 48 percent females of the 551,535 Emiratis of the total population.

Fertility rate is estimated at 3.7 per local female, and one per non-citizen female.
