Google to help news outlets win subscribers


(MENAFN) Google aims to help publishers win paying subscribers for news stories, while the U.S. internet giant is collaborating with NewsCorp, the Financial Time and the NY Times.

Accordingly, Google will ramp up its help for subscription services in recognition of the fact that such revenue is important for publishers who cannot depend on advertising alone for fiscal survival.

Meanwhile, Google chief executive has made a priority of investing in artificial intelligence and has spoken about infusing the firm's array of offerings with software smarts.
