Settlers storm Al Aqsa Mosque

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Occupied Jerusalem: Around 100 settlers and 20 students from the 'Talmudic institutes stormed Al Aqsa Mosque yesterday through Al Magarba gate under tight security protection by special forces of the Israeli Occupation police.
According to the Palestinian news agency, small groups carried out provocative and suspicious tours throughout the Mosque, in the presence of a large number of Palestinian citizens who spread throughout various areas of Al Aqsa in response to the operation.
The Israeli occupation forces also stormed yesterday several towns in Hebron in the occupied West Bank, and arrested a citizen in the town of 'Beit Kahil west of the province.
Palestinian security sources said that the occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Kahil and raided the houses of the citizens. The raids also took place in the towns of Al Dhahriya and Sa'er, where the Israeli soldiers moved between the residential areas and halted the movement of transportation.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the decision of the Israeli Occupation to completely close Bab Al Rahma building in Al Aqsa Mosque permanently.
The building has been closed since 2003 and is periodically renewed. The Ministry stressed that Israel is not entitled as an occupying state to distort and change the mosque and its facilities and surroundings, as it has no right and does not have any moral or legal elements to issue judgments or decisions on behalf of the authority responsible for Islamic endowments.
