Pakistani man arrested by Indian BSF is suffering from mental disorder


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MINGORA, 29 May: Relatives of Abdullah, a young man who had inadvertently crossed the Wagah Border into India, asked the Pakistani and Indian governments to release him, as he is suffering from mental disorder.
Abdullah, 20-year-old Pakistani national, hailing from Shahdara area in Mingora, Swat had come to Lahore to witness the traditional parade at Wagah Border. He mistakenly crossed the border at a time when people were arriving in the stadium to watch soldiers from Pakistan and India carrying out flag-lowering ceremony.
The Indian Border Security Forces arrested him and refused to release him who inadvertently entered the Indian territory by violating the zero line at the International border between Pakistan and India.
Akhtar Ali and Sardar, brothers of Abdullah said that he had suffered head injuries during a road accident in Saidu Sharif a year ago. He is now suffering from mental illness, the brothers added. They said that since childhood, Abdullah was a fan of Indian movies and wanted to travel to India.
'We are worried for our brother and our parents are ill. We did not tell our parents about Abdullah's arrest by Indian forces,' Abdullah's brother said.
