Kuwait- FM meets US Presidential Envoy


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, April 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received in his office on Monday visiting US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter the so-called Islamic State (IS), Brett McGurk.

During the meeting, they discussed the progress in the ongoing war against the IS which threatens international peace and security, in addition to finding ways to shore up all international efforts to face this terrorist organization.

McGurk hailed Kuwait's role in this war on terror, and its enormous contributions to the Global Coalition against the IS.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Suleiman Al-Jarallah, Assistant Foreign Minister for the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister's Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Development Affairs and International Cooperation Nasser Sabeeh Al-Sabeeh and a number of the Foreign Ministry's senior officials.
