UAE keen to strengthen bilateral ties with Kazakhstan, says Mansour bin Zayed

ABU DHABI, 17th January, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, affirmed on Tuesday the UAE's desire to deepen its ties of friendship and co-operation with the Republic of Kazakhstan, which would help serve mutual interests.

H.H. Sheikh Mansour was speaking at a meeting with a delegation from Kazakhstan, held at the Presidential Palace. He hoped that the ties would scale to new levels of development and growth.

The Kazakh delegation included First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, Minister of Investments and Development Kassymbek Zhenis, Minister of Defence and Aerospace Industry Beibut Atamkulov and Chairman of Kazakhstan's National Atomic company (Kazatomprom) Askar Zhumagaliyev.

The two sides discussed several issues of common interest in areas of economy, trade, investment, development and culture. They also took stock of the latest regional and international developments of mutual concern.

H.H. Sheikh Mansour also took note of the results of the sixth meeting of the UAE-Kazakhstan Joint Higher Ministerial Committee.
