GCC leaders conclude first session


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Dec 6 (KUNA) -- Leaders of six Arab Gulf countries concluded the first day of their two-day summit talks in Manama on Tuesday evening.

The leaders of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman would resume deliberations tomorrow Wednesday.

This will be followed by a meeting between the GCC leaders and British prime Minister Theresa May, to discuss bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

A final communique will be issued from each summit.

Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa opened the summit earlier today and underlined keenness of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to promote economic development, and to achieve security and stability. (pickup previous) mge.kne.bs
