Indian embassy, OCCI business meet outlines cooperation in various sectors

The Embassy of India in association with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), organised a Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting recently. Over 180 businessmen representing various Omani and companies attended the meeting at the OCCI premises, stated a press release.

The meeting provided an opportunity for Omani companies to interact withand enter into business ties with a six-member Indian business delegation led by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), nine Indian hospitals and ten-member delegation led by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representing companies from various sectors including food processing, IT, logistics and trading, advertisement and marketing, engineering components and consulting and training.

The event was held in the presence of Mohsin bin Khamis al Balushi, advisor in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ayman al Hasani, vice chairman, OCCI, Habib al Hasani, director international cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Dr Mohamed al Sajwani, deputy chairman, treatment abroad committee, Ministry of Health, Dr Walid al Zedjali, chairman, Oman Medical Association, and other dignitaries.

In his welcome address, H E Indra Mani Pandey, India's Ambassador to Oman underlined the importance of frequent exchange of business delegations to benefit from the opportunities offered by India and Oman for mutual trade and investment. Balushi appreciated the efforts of the Indian embassy and expressed hope that Omani businessmen and their Indian counterparts will be able to take advantage of the existing potentials for furthering ties.
