THROWBACK: Here's how some of the biggest firms looked on the Web for the first time


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The world's first-ever website - info.cern.ch - celebrated its 25th anniversary on August 6.

That was way back in 1991. Back then, the Motorola StarTAC and MicroTAC were the coolest mobile phones, the original Nokia 101 was to be launched a year later, Street Fighter II and the original Sonic the Hedgehog had just been released, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was to be rolled out in less than two weeks, Windows 3.0 was the OS standard and Apple wasn't exactly lording it over the field.
