Vietnam posts huge jump in rice exports over Jan-Apr


(MENAFN) Vietnam is projected to see a year-on-year growth of 41.6 percent in rice outbound shipments capacity and 40.8 percent in export revenue in the Jan-April period of this year.

In more detail, the nation is forecasted to ship out nearly 1.59 million tons of rice worth USD692 million U.S. dollars during the period, according to Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture.

Based on a top economist's data, in the current month alone, the country is anticipated to earn USD274 million from shipping a total of 629,000 tons of rice overseas.
