Bahraini JBG invest USD2.44m on expansion in GCC


(MENAFN) Bahrain-based Jawad Business Group (JBG) announced that it was planning to expand its business in the UAE and the GCC by opening 10 new stores this year, with an investment of over USD2.44 million, Emirates 24/7 reported.

"We plan to open 3-5 stores of Hush Puppies in 2015, mostly in the UAE. One will be opened in ibn Battuta Mall and others are in the pipeline. Each stores costs $250,000 as a capital to open or refurbish the outlet," General Manager, Fashion and Footwear Division of Jawad Business Group said.

Jawad Group, which currently operates 23 Hush Puppies stores and 20 Shoe Citi outlets in the region as well as having franchise for 18 brands and operates 300 outlets across the region, said that it also aims expand its Shoe Citi brand also with another three to five outlets planned this year in Qatar and in the UAE as well.
