Arab, Jordanian officials discuss educational issues


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Head of Kuwait Cultural Office in Amman Dr. Mohammad Al-Dhefeeri organized Tuesday a meeting with Minister of Higher Education Ameen Mahmoud and presidents of Jordanian universities to discuss means of improving academic and cultural works in Arab countries.

Addressing the meeting, attended by 54 Arab academicians, Al-Dhefeeri, who is chairman of the council of Arab Cultural Attaches in Jordan, said coordination among the Arab countries in higher education was very important in order to promote culture, knowledge and education.

He said the meeting would be an opportunity to exchange views between the cultural attaches and the Jordanian higher education ministry officials.

He commended the leaders of educational institutions in Jordan for providing safe educational environment for the Arab students.

The Arab Cultural Attaches council was established in 1978 to provide cultural and academic services for Arab students.
