(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait and Palestine are bound to common civilization and social aspects that are not restricted on same language but to unity of "past, present and future, and disnity," a cultural official said Sunday.
Ali Al-Youha, Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Art and Letters (NCCAL), said the Palestinian culture was eternal and capable of confronting "uneasy" historic circumstances and the globalization of culture.
But the creativity of the Palestinian people is standing firm against all attempts to silence them, Al-Youha said in the opening of "Palestine Cultural Days in Kuwait" at Dasma Theater.
He said he was happy to see Palestinian men of letters and artists participating in the Palestine Cultural Days.
Palestinian Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Rami Tahbob said the cultural days event was another milestone in bilateral relations with Kuwait, which were dated back to the 1920s.
He said the Palestinian Embassy and NCCAL were keen on the success of the cultural events.
Tahbob hoped the cultural days would send a message by Palestine, Al-Quds, Islamic and Christian sacred places to the Kuwaiti public and the whole world.
An exhibition about Palestinian handcrafts is held on sidelines of the event, displaying traditional jewellery and costumes.
