Abu Dhabi Police train staff to help solve cases faster

the abu dhabi police general headquarters has launched a new training project to further enhance its handling of emergency lab forensic and onsite investigation performance by officers.

according to the abu dhabi police the training project will help solve criminal cases faster and help the judiciary system of the emirate to quickly conclude such cases.

the emergency and public safety department at the abu dhabi police general headquarters recently also organised a special workshop on handling emergency situations at laboratories in the forensic evidence hall at the police headquarters.

the workshop which was attended by colonel abdul rahman al hammadi head of the forensic evidence department along with section chiefs and lab technicians at the department included an introductory briefing about the hazardous materials response unit shedding light on its capabilities and various tasks.

the workshop also addressed the procedures related to handling emergency situations at labs - the hazardous substances and their impact on humans and the environment the hazardous materials warning labels lists of and as well as the means of using personal protective equipment and the hazardous materials spill containment equipment.

the workshop included lectures delivered by captain khaled al badi first lieutenant ahmed al ansari first warrant officer coach ahmed al naqbi and coach salim al hajri.
