Dubai's DP World reports volumes increase 9.1 percent


(MENAFN) The world's third biggest port operator, DP World, said its consolidated container volume increased 9.1 percent in the January-March period due to the addition of new capacity and a recovery in global trade, Arabian Business reported. The company added that it dealt with 6.76 million twenty-foot equivalent (TEU) units during the period, compared to 6.19 million TEU in the same period of 2013. Gross volumes of all terminals in which DP World is involved dealt with 14.3 million TEU, increasing 10.5 percent compared to the previous year.
