Nepal Airlines Reports 10% Flight Revenue Growth Over Ten Months
(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: Nepal Airlines Corporation has reported a more than 10% increase in revenue from flight operations during the first ten months of the current fiscal year.
The Kathmandu-based airline earned NPR 14.58 billion compared to NPR 13.12 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year - an increase of approximately NPR 1.46 billion. The figures were published in the corporation's Akash Bhairav Report.
Revenue dipped slightly in March 2025, falling to NPR 1.44 billion from NPR 1.54 billion recorded in March 2024. The corporation attributed the decline to conflicts in the Middle East, which disrupted flights to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
However, earnings rebounded strongly in April 2025, reaching approximately NPR 1.97 billion - significantly higher than the NPR 1.43 billion earned in April 2024.
The report also noted that during the tenure of former Executive Chairman Yubaraj Adhikari, who assumed the role in November 2021, flight revenue had declined continuously for four years, allegedly due to negligence and a commission-driven system.
Following his departure, the corporation's financial performance began showing consistent improvement.
