Cathay Cargo Expands A350F Order To Eight Aircraft
The new-generation freighters will support Cathay Cargo's long-term growth plans and strengthen Hong Kong's position as a leading international air cargo hub by enhancing connectivity across its global cargo network.
Cathay Group Chief Executive Officer Ronald Lam said, the investment reflects confidence in future demand and supports the carrier's ambition to be the world's best air cargo airline.
The A350Fs will join Cathay Cargo's existing fleet of 20 Boeing 747 freighters. The announcement forms part of the Cathay Group's broader fleet renewal strategy, which includes orders for more than 100 new aircraft across its passenger and cargo operations.
