Rajasthan CM Discusses Energy, Skills And Jobs With Union Ministers


(MENAFN- IANS) Jaipur, June 2 (IANS) Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Tuesday paid courtesy visits to Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New & Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, and Union Minister for Labour and Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, in New Delhi.

During the meetings, the Chief Minister held extensive discussions on Rajasthan's key developmental priorities, including renewable energy, food security, youth empowerment, skill development, employment generation, and sports promotion.

In his meeting with Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Sharma reviewed the progress of various Central Government schemes being implemented in Rajasthan and discussed upcoming initiatives in the renewable energy sector.

The discussions focused on strengthening food security mechanisms, enhancing the effectiveness of the Public Distribution System, and accelerating efforts to make Rajasthan self-reliant in the energy sector.

The Union Minister appreciated Rajasthan's progress in green energy and lauded the successful implementation of the Green Energy Corridor-II project, which is strengthening the state's renewable energy infrastructure.

The Chief Minister also met Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and discussed strategies to expand skill development opportunities for Rajasthan's youth and create new avenues of employment.

The two leaders exchanged views on fostering a vibrant sports culture in the state, strengthening sports infrastructure, and providing world-class facilities and incentives to emerging athletes.

They also deliberated on encouraging greater youth participation through the My Bharat initiative and ensuring that young people are actively engaged in nation-building activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Double Engine Government is committed to unlocking the immense potential of Rajasthan's youth.

He emphasised that continuous efforts are being made to equip young people with the skills, opportunities, and resources to contribute effectively to the state's development while securing a bright and prosperous future.
