I am a qualified social worker and experienced academic. I graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons) in 1998, PhD (2007), a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Learning (2012) and formal training in spatial information systems (University of Adelaide). I have 20+ years experience in higher education having worked at the University of South Australia, University of Adelaide, University of Melbourne, RMIT and currently Australian Catholic University. I also have community sector experience. With a PhD grounded in sociology and social policy, my scholarly focus is on issues concerned with poverty, inequality, and welfare systems and policy arrangements.
