Rahul Ravi is Professor of Finance at Concordia University's John Molson School of Business. He joined the Department of Finance in 2007 after completing his PhD in Finance at the University of Alberta. He also holds an MBA from the University of Alberta and a BSc Honours degree in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Delhi.
Professor Ravi currently serves as Director of the John Molson Executive MBA program, a role he has held since 2020. He previously served as Chair of the Department of Finance from 2017 to 2020 and as Director of the Goodman Institute of Investment Management from 2019 to 2024.
His research interests include empirical market microstructure, market efficiency, initial public offerings, information and uncertainty, venture capital, corporate social responsibility, family firms, and gender and leadership. His work has been published in journals including Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Management, Managerial Finance, and the Quarterly Journal of Finance.
