War Update: 186 Frontline Clashes Over Past Day, Intense Fighting In Pokrovsk And Huliaipole Sectors

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its Facebook update on the situation as of 08:00 on May 6.

The enemy carried out two missile strikes using 13 missiles and conducted 77 airstrikes, dropping 244 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces used 10,301 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,651 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 102 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck 12 clusters of Russian personnel and three artillery systems.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, there were two combat engagements. Russian forces carried out 96 shelling attacks, three of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and launched two airstrikes, using five guided aerial bombs

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy carried out 12 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrymivka, Starytsia, Lyman, and toward Izbytske.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces launched two attacks toward Radkivka and Kindrashivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance toward Drobysheve, Stavky, Dibrova, and near Torske.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped one Russian attempt to advance near Zakitne.

In the Kramatorsk secto r, Ukrainian troops repelled one Russian attack toward Nykyforivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 14 assaults near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 50 assault actions by Russian forces near Zatyshok, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Molodetske, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novomykolaivka, as well as toward Bilytske, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Biliakivka, and Nopidhorodnie.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out 14 attacks toward Zlahoda, Dobropillia, Danylivka, Berezove, Yehorivka, Stepove, and Nove Zaporizhzhia.

In the Huliaipole sector, 24 Russian attacks were recorded toward Varvarivka, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Pryluky, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipilske, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Ukrainian units halted three Russian attacks toward Antonivka and Bilohrudyi Island.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive group formation were spotted.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to May 6, 2026 amount to approximately 1,337,170 personnel, including 1,050 over the past day.
