Jennifer Lavers (Métis Nation ᓲᐊᐧᐦᑫᔨᐤ)

Dr Lavers is a Lecturer in Ornithology at Charles Sturt University and a Technical Writer at Tangaroa Blue Foundation. She is a marine biologist with expertise in seabird ecology and marine pollution (chemicals and plastic debris). She works closely with communities, including citizen scientists, and supervises a large number of graduate students in Australia and abroad working on a diverse array of projects. She is also a member of the Métis Nation, an Indigenous people group from Canada.
