Iran Vows Full Capability Use Against US Threats Amid Rising Tensions

(MENAFN) Iran has stated that it is prepared to use “all capabilities” to protect its national interests and security in response to what it describes as escalating US pressure and threats.

According to reports, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi conveyed the message during a phone conversation with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, saying recent US actions and demands show a lack of genuine commitment to diplomacy.

As stated by reports citing Iranian state media, Araghchi accused Washington of issuing conflicting and “unreasonable” demands while also threatening Iranian maritime infrastructure, including ports and vessels.

He also alleged that the United States has previously violated understandings reached over the past year and referred to earlier military actions during negotiation periods in 2025, as well as breaches of a ceasefire arrangement that Pakistan helped mediate.

“These are clear signs of ill intentions and a lack of seriousness in diplomacy,” Araghchi said.

He added that Iran “will use all its capabilities to safeguard the country’s interests and national security.”

Meanwhile, reports indicate that US officials are preparing for renewed diplomatic engagement, with senior American envoys expected to travel to Pakistan for further discussions involving Iran.
