Netanyahu Says Iran War Not Over As U.S. Warns Of Escalation

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Benjamin Netanyahu said the war with Iran is not over, warning that new developments could unfold at any moment.

Speaking on Sunday during a meeting with Javier Milei, Netanyahu signalled continued uncertainty despite ongoing diplomatic efforts.

His remarks come as Donald Trump said Washington has dispatched negotiators to Pakistan in an attempt to reach a deal with Tehran.

Trump accused Iran of violating the ceasefire in the Strait of Hormuz and warned that if no agreement is reached, the United States could target key infrastructure, including power plants and bridges.

Mike Waltz told ABC News that the next round of talks could yield“very significant” results, reflecting cautious optimism in Washington.

The tensions follow a recent U.S. operation in which American forces seized an Iranian vessel in the Strait of Hormuz after disabling it and boarding the ship.

The move, confirmed by Trump, was described by Iran as“armed piracy,” with Tehran warning it would respond to what it called a violation of international law.

The incident has added to rising risks around the vital shipping lane, where military activity and competing claims have increased fears of disruption to global energy supplies.

Iran has repeatedly warned that continued U.S. pressure, including a naval blockade, could affect the free flow of shipping through the strait.

With diplomatic efforts under way and military tensions still high, analysts say the coming days will be critical in determining whether talks succeed or conflict escalates further.
