Kuwait’s Air Defenses Thwart Multiple Missile, Drone Attacks

(MENAFN) Kuwait’s Defense Ministry announced on Monday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted 14 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 46 drones within the past 24 hours, according to reports.

The ministry added that, since the onset of what it described as “Iranian aggression” on Feb. 28, Kuwaiti forces have countered a total of 350 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 786 drones.

Tensions across the region have sharply intensified following a joint US-Israeli military campaign against Iran that began on Feb. 28, which has reportedly resulted in over 1,340 deaths, including Ali Khamenei.

In response, Tehran has launched missile and drone attacks aimed at Israel, as well as countries such as Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf states that host US military facilities. Iran has also imposed limits on maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
