Jordan, Qatar Condemn Iranian Aggression And Urge Regional De-Escalation

Doha, April 6 (Petra) -- Jordan and Qatar on Monday renewed their condemnation of Iranian attacks against their territories and other Arab nations, describing the actions as a violation of international law and a breach of state sovereignty.
During talks in Doha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Ayman Safadi and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani expressed full solidarity in the face of these hostilities. They emphasized that such actions undermine the principles of good neighborly relations and threaten regional security.
The two officials discussed the repercussions of the dangerous escalation currently gripping the Middle East. They explored avenues for activating diplomacy and dialogue to end the friction based on frameworks that respect the sovereignty of states and uphold international legal standards.
On the situation in Gaza, Safadi and Sheikh Mohammed affirmed their continued cooperation to establish stability in the enclave. They stressed the urgent need for the immediate and sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian territory.
The ministers warned that ongoing illegal Israeli measures continue to undermine the prospects for a just and comprehensive peace. They reiterated that a two-state solution resulting in the end of the occupation and the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state remains the only viable path to lasting stability.
