Police reported that the suspect, later identified as 39-year-old Okello Christopher Onyum, gained entry to the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program located in Makindye Division by pretending to be a parent. He initially spoke with the school administrator in the offices before returning outside, locking the gate, and attacking the children.
“We confirm a tragic incident at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program school in Makindye Division, Kampala City, where a male suspect brutally stabbed and killed four juveniles,” said Rachael Kawala.
Authorities stated that the victims were between two and three years old. The Ugandan Police Force indicated that investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the fatal assault.
