Iranian Missile Strike Sparks Fire at Negev Factory in Southern Israel

(MENAFN) A blaze erupts after an Iranian missile strikes a factory located in an industrial zone in the Negev region of southern Israel, as stated by reports. The Israeli military confirms that its air defense systems are activated after detecting missiles launched from Iran.

According to reports, warning sirens sound in several southern locations, including Beersheba, Arad, and across the Negev, marking what is described as Iran’s first missile strike aimed at southern Israel. Footage circulating online appears to show flames engulfing part of the factory, with thick smoke rising into the air.

In a separate development, a second wave of Iranian missiles targets central Israel. Reports indicate that sirens are heard across a broad area, including Gush Dan, commonly referred to as "Greater Tel Aviv."

As stated by reports, a residential building in the Rosh HaAyin area near Tel Aviv catches fire following the attack. Additional damage is reported in Petah Tikva, where a building is hit, while multiple streets in Tel Aviv also suffer destruction.

Emergency responders confirm that teams are deployed to affected areas in Tel Aviv and Bnei Brak to handle the aftermath. Meanwhile, reports indicate that missile fragments and shrapnel land at 17 different locations across seven cities in central Israel during the second round of strikes.
