UK Condemns Weekend Violence In West Bank, Denounces Settler Attacks On Civilians
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
London, March 25 (Petra) -- The United Kingdom strongly condemned the wave of violence in West Bank villages over the weekend, reaffirming its full rejection of what it described as "settler terrorism" and repeated attacks on Palestinian civilians.
British Ambassador to the United Nations, James Kariuki, said his country "strongly condemns settler violence and terrorism and their repeated attacks on West Bank villages over the weekend."
He added that "the Israeli government must take tangible steps to prevent these actions and reverse its decision to expand control over the West Bank," noting that such measures would undermine prospects for peace and increase regional tensions.
