One Injured As Russian Forces Launch 706 Strikes On Zaporizhzhia Region Over Past Day


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ivan Fedorov, head of the region's military administration, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

A 67-year-old man was injured as a result of an enemy attack on the Zaporizhzhia district, he said.

Russian forces carried out 17 airstrikes on the settlements of Malokaterynivka, Kushuhum, Veselianka, Slavne, Blakytne, Vesele, Vozdvyzhivka, Liubytske, Shyroke, Kopani, Dolynka, Charivne, and Novoselivka.

A total of 426 drones of various types, mostly FPV, attacked Zaporizhzhia, Komyshuvakha, Kushuhum, Bilenke, Bilenke Pershe, Blakytne, Lysohirka, Shyroke, Liubytske, Stepnohirsk, Mali Shcherbaky, Prymorske, Stepove, Lukianivske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Myrne, Hirke, Zelene, Varvarivka, Dobropillia and Pryluky.

Three attacks using multiple launch rocket systems targeted Zaliznychne, Myrne and Shcherbaky.

Russian forces also carried out 260 artillery strikes on Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Lukianivske, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Zelene, Varvarivka, Dobropillia and Pryluky.

Authorities received 40 reports of damage to homes, infrastructure facilities and vehicles.

On March 9, Russian forces carried out 651 strikes on 36 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.
