General Staff Confirms Strikes On Russian Air Defense Systems And Command Posts In Crimea And Other Occupied Territories

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the General Staff reported this on Facebook.

Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine on March 8 and during the night of March 9 struck air defense systems, command and observation posts, and areas where Russian troops were concentrated in temporarily occupied Crimea and other occupied territories of Ukraine.

In particular, Ukrainian forces hit an air defense radar station belonging to an S-300 system near Spokiine, Crimea, as well as a Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system near Lymanchuk, Luhansk region.

Ukrainian troops also carried out a series of strikes on command and observation posts (COPs) of Russian army units.

Specifically, a COP of a unit from the Rubikon formation was hit near Donetsk. Additional command posts were struck near Zaporizke, Zaporizhzhia, Chervonoselivka, Zaporizhzhia region, Hoholivka, Zaporizhzhia region, and Zachativka, Donetsk region.

Ukrainian forces also targeted areas where Russian troops were concentrated near Rodynske, Poltavka, Donetsk region, and Petropavlivka, Kharkiv region.

The extent of the damage and other results are still being clarified.

As Ukrinform previously reported, pilots of the 9th Battalion "Kairos" of the 414th Separate Brigade of Unmanned Systems 'Magyar birds' destroyed the Nadgrobok radar system in Crimea and a Buk-M2 missile launcher used by Russian forces in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region during the night of March 8.
