Precision Acquires Firehouse Strategies

(MENAFN- PRovoke) WASHINGTON - Precision Strategies has acquired Washington-based Firehouse Strategies, combining two public affairs firms founded by veterans of Democratic and Republican presidential campaigns.

The combined firm will include 125 professionals and a nationwide network of local civic leaders, officials and community influencers used in grassroots and advocacy campaigns.

Precision was founded in 2013 by former advisers to Barack Obama - Stephanie Cutter, Teddy Goff and Jen O'Malley Dillon. Firehouse was founded by Republican strategists Alex Conant and Terry Sullivan, veterans of Marco Rubio's 2016 presidential campaign. Sullivan is acting on "a long-planned exit," a spokesperson said.

Cutter said Firehouse's capabilities in persuasion campaigns and grassroots organizing were a key factor in the acquisition.

“Alex and his team built something rare - a firm that actually delivers,” Cutter said.“Firehouse doesn't just run campaigns; they move people, change minds and win the big fights.”

Conant said the combination reflects the need for bipartisan expertise in modern public affairs campaigns.

“In today's environment, clients can't afford an agency that only works one side of the aisle,” he said.“They need bipartisan savvy and strategic depth.”

Precision's leadership structure will remain unchanged. Cutter will continue as acting CEO and managing partner, while Goff will remain chief growth officer. Conant will join Precision as senior partner and Firehouse's Ray Glendening will serve as partner.

The firms said the combined organization will offer public affairs capabilities including data and analytics, digital engagement, paid media, creative services, crisis communications and Firehouse's nationwide influencer mobilization network.

Precision plans to integrate Firehouse into the broader organization over the coming months while maintaining the Firehouse brand as a conflict subsidiary alongside its existing subsidiary Renegade.

Abry Partners, a minority investor in Precision, advised the firm on the transaction, while BrightTower served as exclusive financial advisor to Firehouse.
