Air France Halts Flights to Middle East as Regional Tensions Rise

(MENAFN) Air France announced that it will continue suspending flights to several Middle Eastern destinations until Tuesday due to growing regional instability, according to official statements.

“For safety reasons and in coordination with state authorities, Air France is suspending its flights to Tel Aviv, Beirut, Dubai, and Riyadh until Tuesday, March 3,” Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot said in a post on social media.

Tabarot noted that the suspension applies to both outbound and return flights to the affected cities. He added that the airline plans to release an updated schedule in the coming days, depending on the situation in the region.

The decision follows heightened tensions in the Middle East after recent military escalations involving the US, Israel, and Iran. Several countries have temporarily closed their airspace, prompting multiple international carriers to suspend or reroute flights for safety reasons.
