Amir Honours 108 Qatar's Education Excellence Award Winners

Doha, Qatar: The Amir, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has patronized the 19th Qatar Education Excellence Award ceremony held Sunday morning at the Sheraton Doha Hotel, in downtown Doha.

The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Speaker of the Shura Council, HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, and Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers and senior state officials, as well as teachers and parents of the awardees.

The Amir honored the 108 winners who included holders of doctoral and Master's degrees, university and secondary school graduates, and outstanding students at the preparatory and primary levels.Categories also recognized the distinguished teacher, outstanding school, and exceptional scientific research.

The ceremony featured a documentary highlighting the award and this year's winners across different categories. It also included a speech by the Minister of Education and Higher Education, HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater and a speech delivered on behalf of the honorees by student Fatima Saad Al Mohannadi.
