Haqqani Urges Global Support For Afghanistan's Security, Stability
A total of 340 officers from Kabul and various provinces graduated from the sixth two-month basic professional police training course.
Addressing the graduation ceremony, Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani said that officers grounded in Islamic values and equipped with professional training are well-positioned to deliver meaningful service to the public.
He emphasized the critical role of the police in maintaining security, preventing crime, and strengthening the system, noting that the professionalization of the police force is fundamental to the country's overall stability.
Reiterating that Afghanistan's security and stability are important for both the region and the world, he urged international and neighboring countries to back the process and contribute to its sustainability.
The minister identified piety, professionalism, and sacrifice as the defining characteristics of the police, stressing that a disciplined and professionally trained force is the cornerstone of lasting security.
He further underlined the importance of education and ethical standards, warning that individual misconduct can undermine public confidence in the system.
Concluding his remarks, the Interior Minister called on police officers to act with integrity, treat citizens respectfully, and uphold the principles of public service in enforcing the law, in order to strengthen public trust and cooperation.
