Kuwait Police Sports Federation Hosts Int'l Jumping Championship

KUWAIT, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- The International Jumping Championship - the first such event being organized by Kuwait Police Sports Federation, kicked off on Thursday with top riders from the Arab region and beyond.
The three-day event, hosted in Sabhan area under auspices of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssuf Saud Al-Sabah, features hurdles races of 100, 105, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140 and 145 cm-high jumps.
Chairman of the Federation Commodore Staff Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Youssuf Al-Sabah thanked Sheikh Fahad Youssuf for his kind patronage of the championship.
The Federation will organize the local jumping league by the end of the championship which reflects the special partnership with Kuwait Equestrian Federation, Sheikh Mubarak told reporters. (end)
