Growth across markets and segments

Ras Al Khaimah's tourism success was driven by strong performances in key source markets including the CIS, UK, India, China, and Central and Eastern Europe.

Notably, visitor arrivals surged with notable growth from Romania (+41%), Poland (+22%), Uzbekistan (+19%), and Belarus (+26%). India (+14%), China (+19%), UK (+10%) and Russia (+20%) also contributed to the growth.

Meanwhile, high value tourism segments such as MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) and weddings recorded a 25 per cent increase in revenues, reflecting the emirate's appeal as a destination for business events and luxury destination.

Ras Al Khaimah also continued to diversify its hospitality portfolio, with openings including Rove Al Marjan Island and SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, offering new beachfront lifestyle-led experiences.

International luxury brands such as Janu, Four Seasons, Fairmont, Taj and NH Collection, also announced new projects, supporting Ras Al Khaimah's goal to double hotel keys by 2030.

Milestone in 2025

A milestone was reached at Wynn Al Marjan Island - the UAE's first integrated resort - with its 70-storey tower topping out at 283 metres. Set to open in 2027, the $5.1-billion destination resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 F&B venues, a theatre, luxury retail, and a marina. It is expected to create over 9,000 jobs and catalyse a new wave of international tourism to Ras Al Khaimah, significantly enhancing its global profile and high-end appeal.

Last year also marked progress on major master-planned projects. Marjan Beach, spanning 85 million sq. ft., will include 12,000 hotel keys, 22,000 residential units, and extensive green spaces with sustainability at its core. RAK Central, a new mixed-use commercial district, achieved full commercial plot sales within a year, highlighting investor confidence.
