J&K BOSE Scraps Old Syllabus For Re-Appear Students

(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education has discontinued the old syllabus that was being followed by failure and re-appear candidates of Classes 10, 11 and 12, officials said.

Under the earlier arrangement, students who had failed or were required to re-appear under the old scheme of studies were granted multiple opportunities to clear their examinations. However, the Board said that the syllabus has now outlived its validity under existing regulations and no further chances will be provided to appear under the old course.

In a notification issued by the Board, candidates have been advised to prepare according to the new syllabus for the upcoming annual private and bi-annual examinations. These examinations will be held later this year after the conclusion of the summer zone examinations and the declaration of annual results.

The notification, issued well in advance, is aimed at enabling students enrolled under the old scheme to timely switch over to the revised syllabus for appearing in annual private and bi-annual examinations from 2026 onwards.
