Israeli Forces Violate Ceasefire in Gaza

(MENAFN) Early Monday, the Israeli military carried out assaults in the southern Gaza Strip and advanced into a refugee camp in central Gaza, breaching the ceasefire agreement.

According to a news agency, Israeli fighter jets targeted multiple locations in Rafah while artillery fire and gunshots from armored vehicles struck northern areas of the city.

In northern Gaza, Israeli forces, accompanied by bulldozers, entered the Jabalia refugee camp—despite having previously withdrawn under the ceasefire terms. Sources reported that quadcopter drones unleashed heavy gunfire as troops demolished several structures before departing.

Meanwhile, in Gaza City, armored vehicles positioned in the Israeli-controlled yellow zone opened fire toward residential districts in the eastern part of the city.

No casualties have been reported from these latest incidents.

Since the truce began on October 10, the Israeli army has committed numerous violations, leading to the deaths of 401 Palestinians.

Overall, since October 2023, Israeli operations in Gaza have killed nearly 71,000 Palestinians—predominantly women and children—and left more than 171,000 injured.
