Ashghal Introduces 4G/5G Tanker Tracking Devices, Phases Out 2G/3G Systems
Doha, Qatar: The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' announced the availability of advanced tanker-tracking devices powered by 4G/5G SIM technology, aimed at improving fleet monitoring efficiency and streamlining operations.
Ashghal said the upgrade will enable 24/7 visibility, enhanced security, and seamless communication across tanker fleets.
As part of the transition, existing tracking devices operating on 2G or 3G networks will be discontinued effective December 31, 2025.
Contractors and tanker operators are encouraged to obtain the new SIM cards and tracking systems through Ashghal's customer service channels to ensure uninterrupted service and compliance with the updated requirements.
