Erdogan Joins World Leaders at Turkmenistan Peace Forum

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took part on Friday in a wreath-laying event at Turkmenistan’s Neutrality Monument, as global leaders convened in Ashgabat for the International Peace and Trust Forum.

Erdogan participated alongside several invited heads of state and government, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Following the official welcoming ceremony at the forum’s venue, Erdogan joined other leaders for a family photograph session.

Later in the day, the leaders are scheduled to attend the forum’s inaugural session. During the plenary session entitled “Peace and Trust: Unity of Goals for a Sustainable Future,” the Turkish president is expected to address the attendees.

The forum in Ashgabat commemorates the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the UN General Assembly’s designation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust.”
