KP Cabinet Approves E-Transfer Policy, Funds For Schools, Hospitals, And Tirah Victims
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Muhammad Suhail Afridi, has approved a series of key reforms and development initiatives, including the long-awaited“E-Transfer” policy for teachers.
According to Special Assistant for Information Shafi Jan, the cabinet has sanctioned over Rs2 billion to achieve targets set under the Good Governance Roadmap in the education sector. The cabinet also approved Rs300 million as grant-in-aid for the seed money of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Endowment Fund.
In recognition of the province's first organ donor, late Jawad Khan, the cabinet approved Rs2.1 million to send his family for Umrah.
The cabinet also cleared funds for the Ehsaas Rozgar Programme, which provides interest-free loans, enabling 8,000 beneficiaries to receive support for livelihood opportunities.
For infrastructure development, the cabinet approved funding for Bara River Canal System improvements in Khyber district.

To ensure uninterrupted immunisation services, Rs253.160 million were approved for vaccinators.
The cabinet sanctioned Rs60 million for the policy board of Medical Teaching Institutions and an additional Rs1,573.84 million for Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar. It also approved a feasibility study for the establishment of a Tribal Medical College and granted Rs10 million for treatment of a cancer patient.
The body approved revised costs for the project of 260 Family Welfare Centres, which now stand at Rs1,976.093 million.
To boost industrial development, the Small Industries Development Board was granted a one-time Rs200 million package aimed at achieving financial self-sufficiency.
For victims of the Shalobar Qambar Khel incident in Tirah Maidan, the cabinet approved Rs2.5 million compensation per injured person.
The meeting also approved the purchase of two bulletproof vehicles for judges of the Peshawar High Court.
Additionally, the cabinet agreed to forward a unanimously passed provincial assembly resolution to the federal government, demanding improved digital connectivity in Upper South Waziristan.
