Shaheen Meets European, Turkish Officials On Afghan Investment
KABUL (Pajhwok): Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Ambassador to Qatar Suhail Shaheen held meetings with European and Turkish officials to discuss bilateral relations, education, trade, investment opportunities and regional and global political developments.
The Afghan Embassy in Doha wrote on its X handle that Shaheen met with Patrick de Vries, Senior Adviser at the European Institute of Peace.
The statement said the two sides exchanged views on Afghanistan–Europe relations, education, peace and stability, trade, confidence-building between Afghanistan and the international community, European investment prospects, and the need to convey Afghanistan's on-the-ground realities to global audiences.
In a separate meeting, Shaheen also conferred with Cihad Erginay, Director General for South Asia at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the embassy, discussions focused on bilateral ties, education, trade, Turkey's investment interests in Afghanistan, regional and global political issues and efforts to present Afghanistan's actual situation to the international community.
