Türkiye Enhances Libyan Naval Cadets’ Skills
(MENAFN) Türkiye delivered naval instruction to cadets from the Libyan Naval Academy as part of the ongoing collaboration between the two nations, the National Turkish Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday.
According to a statement shared on the social media platform X, the ministry explained that the naval frigate TCG Orucreis, operating with the Turkish Maritime Task Group, carried out both port-based and at-sea training sessions.
These exercises were organized under the supervision of the Joint Training Center Command in the Libyan coastal city of Al Khums.
The training initiative, conducted from Dec. 4 to Dec. 6, featured hands-on seamanship exercises and onboard lessons designed to improve the operational expertise of the Libyan cadets.
At the end of the program, a formal ceremony was held to award certificates to the students who participated in the training.
