The mother, who recently returned to the UAE after years of unsuccessful attempts to locate her child, had lost all connection with him shortly after his birth due to escalating family conflicts.

After she exhausted all her options, she returned to the UAE and began her search again. She contacted Sharjah Police, who immediately launched a search operation supported by a specialised team of social workers. The team verified the young man's whereabouts and living situation.

After intensive efforts carried out in record time, authorities located him and coordinated the long-awaited reunion.

The emotional meeting, after a decade-long separation, highlighted the humanitarian role that Sharjah Police play in protecting families and ensuring children's rights.

Brigadier Ahmed Al Marri, Director of the Community Protection and Prevention Department, said the case reflects the humanitarian values inspired by the UAE's leadership, which prioritises family stability and social support. He praised the specialised teams for their professionalism in handling such a sensitive matter, adding that restoring hope and ending human suffering represent one of Sharjah Police's most important missions.

In a statement, the authority said: Human beings have always been at the heart of the priorities of the UAE's wise leadership, which has established a firm approach built on compassion, strengthening social cohesion, and supporting community welfare. Based on these principles, Sharjah Police affirm that their swift response to end any individual's suffering is not merely an official responsibility, but a set of ethics and values deeply rooted in their daily work. Their care extends to all segments of society without exception. When this care ends in a tragedy and opens a door of hope, it represents the highest form of success for any institution serving this nation of goodness and humanity.
