Kherson CHP Halts Operations After Severe Damage From Russian Shelling
"Over the past few days, Russian occupiers have been intensively attacking the Kherson CHP, striking it with drones, artillery, and other types of weapons," Prokudin wrote.
The civilian facility that provided heating to city residents suffered serious destruction: the plant's premises and equipment were damaged.
Prokudin emphasized that the terrorists are once again waging war against the civilian population.
"Because of this, the CHP has halted its operations. Four hundred seventy buildings - more than 40,500 subscribers - have been left without heating," he added.
Given the situation, Prokudin announced he is convening an emergency meeting to consider options for alternative heating for the households that had been connected to the CHP. In parallel, negotiations are underway with partners to supply Kherson residents with electric heaters and other heating equipment.
Points of invincibility continue to operate in the city, where people can warm up, charge their phones, and contact loved ones.
