AFU Refute Russian Claims About Capture Of Stavky And Novoselivka In Donetsk Region

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the press service of the Third Army Corps on Telegram.

“The command of the 20th Army and the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have captured the settlements of Stavky and Novoselivka in the area of responsibility of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Third Army Corps. This is yet another case of information manipulation,” the statement said.

The military noted that the enemy is using an old tactic: infiltrating separate groups into areas of villages not under its control in order to shoot staged videos with the tricolor flag, simulate alleged control, and pass off losses as successes.

Each of these groups is systematically destroyed by Ukrainian units, but the commanders of the Russian Federation's 20th Army continue to report fictitious achievements to satisfy their higher command.

"The 60th Mechanized Brigade, together with adjacent units, continues to firmly hold the occupied lines in Donetsk region. And there are no grounds for announcing the 'capture' of the settlements of Stavy and Novoselivka," emphasized brigade commander Dmytro Rohoziuk.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine urge people to trust only confirmed information. Up-to-date information from the corps' front lines is available on the official websites of Ukrainian units.

As reported by Ukrinform, soldiers of the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade of the 16th army corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized Russian invaders who were trying to raise their flag over a building in Vovchansk.
