Ukrainian PM, German Ambassador Discuss Major Overhaul Of Ukraine's Energy And Defense Governance
The Prime Minister thanked Germany for its continued support of Ukraine.
According to her, Germany is Ukraine's largest European donor and a key supplier of military assistance.
“We deeply appreciate Germany's contribution to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund and the additional €170 million allocated to strengthen our energy infrastructure this winter. German air-defense systems have proven highly effective in intercepting Russian missiles during recent attacks,” Svyrydenko said.
Svyrydenko and Thoms discussed the government's current steps to modernize the governance of state-owned enterprises in the energy and defense sectors.
The Prime Minister invited Germany to take an active part in this process, particularly by providing expert recommendations.

They also spoke about preparing relevant agreements to ensure safe and reliable access for German companies to the Ukrainian market.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved a decision on a systemic overhaul of energy-sector governance and an audit in the defense sphere.
