- Honorary research associate, English literature, University of Hull
I am an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Hull. My research sits at the intersection of English and Law, exploring how each discipline informs and shapes the other. In particular, my work examines representations of romance fraud - analysing how language, narrative, and legal discourse construct, expose, and respond to emotional and financial deception. Through this interdisciplinary lens, I investigate how literary and linguistic approaches can deepen our understanding of manipulation, consent, and coercion within both fictional and real-world contexts.
